I do use the Certo recipe, like yours, for strawberry freezer jam. What is confusing is that the recipe calls for 2 cups ripe strawberries, equal to 1 quart. Since there are 4 cups in a quart, this doesn't make sense. My jam turns out perfectly with the 2 cups of strawberries. I shared the recipe with a friend and she used 4 cups of strawberries. Could you clarify?

Hi Judi,
Apologies for any confusion!! I find that a quart or 4 cups of fresh strawberries ends up being about 2 cups of mashed strawberries, which is what my recipe card calls for. I include the quart measurement of fresh strawberries because some people have to buy their strawberries, and I want them to know how big of a container they need. Hope that makes sense!! <3
